Bethany Flores grew up in Austin, TX with her two brothers, Brendan and Ben, and one sister, Brittany. As a family, they were always active - doing push ups and air squats at gas stations while traveling for vacation. Bethany’s real active career though started as a gymnast. She competed in gymnastics for eight years, where she would later have to step back from the sport due to a back injury.


Fast forward some years later and Bethany was still constantly active, competing in bodybuilding, partaking in triathlons and half marathons, completing obstacle course races, and more. In the midst of all of her activity, Bethany found CrossFit in 2015 (and she hasn’t looked back since).


Only two years later from when she first found CrossFit, Bethany made her Games debut in 2017, taking 22nd as a rookie. She since has only improved, taking 4th in the 2024 CrossFit Games and becoming the Fittest American Woman.


Though Bethany loves to compete, she feels her main purpose for being on the floor is to show others kindness and spread the love that comes from God. She attests her strength, growth, and success are all thanks to the glory of God.
